Chief Credit Officer
As Pinnacle’s chief credit officer, Tim Huestis is responsible for the quality of the firm’s loan portfolio.
Huestis joined Pinnacle in 2009 as a senior credit officer for the firm’s Middle Tennessee market. From 2017 to 2019 he served as a senior credit officer for the Carolinas and Virginia region and led the integration of the credit administration of Bank of North Carolina after it merged into Pinnacle.
Before coming to Pinnacle, Huestis served as a regional credit officer for Synovus Bank, where he was responsible for credit oversight of locations in Tennessee and Georgia. He was a commercial banker for more than 16 years with First American Bank in Nashville prior to transitioning into a senior credit officer position.
Huestis earned his bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University and attended the Advanced Commercial Lending School at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.
He serves on the Risk Management Association's Mid-Tier Advisory Council for Commercial Banks in the $10 billion to $60 billion assets size. Huestis is also a member of the Advisory Board for the American Bankers Association 's Commercial Lending School and an instructor for its Advanced Commercial Lending School at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
