Samantha Kerwin is a director in Citrin Cooperman’s Providence, Rhode Island office with more than 8 years of experience in public accounting. She is an experienced professional in the field of financial and operational internal control and compliance.​ ​
 
Samantha focuses on risk advisory consulting services for both public and private companies. She is a key player within the firm’s Technology and Risk Advisory Consulting (TRAC) Practice with an emphasis on internal control and compliance. Samantha is an internal control specialist, focused on helping companies design and/or evaluate the adequacy of their financial and operational internal controls. To this end, she provides compliance-related internal control services and outsourced internal audit services, including tests of both design and operating effectiveness. ​ ​
 
Previously, Samantha served as an auditor in the attest practice and a manager in the Corporate Solutions Group at LGC+D, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2016. In addition, she served as an internal auditor for a top 10 Fortune 500 company.​ ​

Managed and lead Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) and Model Audit Rule (MAR) control framework, design, remediation, and management testing for both co-sourced and outsourced engagements.​
 
Assisted client management in the implementation of an enterprise risk management (ERM) framework to support their annual risk assessment process and leverage the results to comply with the Own Risk & Solvency Assessment (ORSA) reporting requirements. ​
 
Worked within a wide variety of industries, including, but not limited to, technology, manufacturing, media and communications, healthcare, not-for-profit, and financial services.​ ​
 
Personal
 
Samantha is recently married to her husband, Mitchell, with whom she is navigating the new and exciting world of parenthood, since the birth of their first child, Cameron. They are lucky enough to call the Ocean State their home, where they enjoy spending time as a family at their local beaches in the summer.
