Mitch Mantua heads Internal Audit for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and its affiliates. The internal audit function provides an independent and objective appraisal of the company's business operations and helps the company meet its commitment to operating discipline. Before joining Schwab, Mantua was a partner at Ernst & Young LLP, in the Financial Services Advisory group, which he joined in 2003. His primary focus was assisting clients with their internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance groups; in this capacity, he served several Fortune 500 companies. Prior to working at Ernst & Young, Mantua worked in various finance and operational roles at startup companies, including as controller and director of Asia Pacific Operations. Mantua has over 25 years of international finance and operations experience in the financial services, software, and consumer products industries. Mantua earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from St. Mary's College of California. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in California.
