Kevin Cavalieri is a Senior Vice President, and serves as the Senior Director of Operational Risk and Corporate Insurance at M&T Bank. He has been with M&T for nearly 21 years.

As the manager of Operational Risk and Corporate Insurance, Kevin reports to the Chief Risk Officer and has primary responsibility for operational risk on an enterprise-wide basis, as well as the insurance programs that protect the corporation and its interests.

Kevin began his career with M&T in 1999 through its Management Development Program, and has held numerous managerial positions in business banking, commercial insurance, trust and investments, finance, and risk management.

Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration degree (Professional MBA) from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He also holds a certificate in advanced risk management from the Wharton School of Business / Risk Management Association.

Kevin currently represents M&T Bank on Erie County’s COVID-19 Business Task Force. He is actively involved with the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Management, is a former chairman of the board of directors of the Food Bank of Western New York (now known as FeedMore WNY), and a former chairman of the board of directors of A Taste of Buffalo, Inc. Kevin is a graduate of the Leadership Buffalo Class Experience program and was recognized as a member of Business First’s “40 under 40.”

Kevin is a native of Western New York. He resides in North Buffalo with his wife, Kristin, and their German Shepherd, Ginger.
