Gemma Cook is the Head of Internal Audit Transformation and Data Analytics at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp (SMBC). She is leading a multi-year transformation plan focused on delivering next-generation, future-oriented audit practices, infrastructure platforms and tools that challenge traditional audit perspectives. ​
 
Gemma has over 15 years of experience in Audit and Risk Management and has previously held the roles of Chief Operating Officer, Head of Transaction and Payments Risk Management and Head of Technology Audit within global financial services organizations. Gemma holds an Executive MBA, a Bachelor of Science in Management and holds certificates in Business Analytics and Disruptive Strategy from Harvard, Leading Innovation from Dartmouth and Project Leadership from Cornell. Additionally, she holds CISA and CISM certifications and is also a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and an accredited Scrum Master, Agile Coach and Trainer. ​
