Divya Krishnan is a Managing Director supporting  Motif product management and innovation for Charles Schwab Investment  Management, Inc. (CSIM). In her role with the  Motif team, Ms. Krishnan works with the research group to identify new portfolio ideas and strategies that leverage Motif’s data science-driven technology.  She is responsible for research strategy and product launch, including direct indexing and thematic portfolios.   Prior to joining CSIM  in  2020, Ms. Krishnan was a director and the head of institutional products at  Motif Investing (Motif).  While at  Motif, she led the growth initiatives for its institutional business,  including helping launch  Motif Impact,  an automated investment tool that allowed clients to align their personal values with their investment goals.  Prior to her role at Motif,  Ms. Krishnan spent several years at Citigroup in the institutional client group, focused on trading and structuring exotic equity derivatives and structured products.  She has also consulted for a leading online lending company, a  digital currency asset manager, and a fintech-focused venture capital firm.   Ms. Krishan earned a  Master in Business Administration from  The Wharton School at the University of  Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in systems engineering from the  University of  Pennsylvania.  She holds Series 7,  63, 65, 79, and 55 licenses, and is a  member of the Advisory Board for Junior Achievement of  Northern California, San Mateo County.
