2020 RMA Annual Risk Management Virtual Conference

The IT Audit session will focus on the current and future roles of IT Audit and IT risks emerging from changing technology, internet growth, social media, and Covid-19 challenges. The session will discuss and recommend pragmatic approaches to manage these emerging risks, such as cloud, development containers, distributed ledger, and associated cyber threats. Factors to be considered will include the increasing levels of scrutiny from internal stakeholders, senior management, risk committees, and audit committees, as well as, changing requirements from regulatory agencies. In addition, the challenges associated with identifying and developing the innovative skill sets needed by auditors and risk managers from a technology perspective.
